Counselling/Therapy

In the wake of my husband’s death in December 2011, I was really surprised to feel a bubbling inside that was saying ‘ ‘time to offer your counselling and psychotherapeutic services again’.

When I stopped my private therapy practice in 2004, I never expected to want to go into this field again; but everything changes when death occurs, and so here I am embracing this change too. Perhaps it’s not surprising, having worked in this field for so long (read about my story here).

So, if you’re:

  • aware your past is interfering in how you live your present day life
  • having problems with food
  • finding challenges in your relationships
  • finding the future outlook of your life very bleak
  • unable to keep yourself on the ‘straight and narrow’

or are generally feeling a ‘there must be more to life than this’ kind of feeling,

then contact me now to have an initial, exploratory session to see if we are a good match for each other. No commitment other than for this one session (lasts an hour).

How do I work?

I trained in the humanistic and psychodynamic schools of therapy, which may or may not mean much to you! But those trainings, along with some considerable life experience (redundancy, eating disorder, unemployment, self-employment, near bankruptcy, and now my husband’s death) all contributes to how I work with you.

I specialise in deep listening to what is really going on underneath, and invite you to meet that with curiosity, honesty and compassion. I use stillness, meditation, interpretation, deep process, creativity, present moment awareness, inner guidance, and all within a holding of spirit itself.

And I’d love to hear from you - so be brave, contact me and take that first step towards moving forward out of your situation and into a brighter, fresher, more enjoyable place.
