Here I let you into the workings of my mind as I go about my days, and how the spirit of rich thinking occurs in my life, and can therefore occur in yours too. All comments very welcome, as I learn and grow from everyone!

The 4 Essential Points of Networking

also posted in Articles, Jane's Blog

Are you someone who at the mention of the word ‘networking’ finds yourself hiding away behind the sofa? Would you really rather your clients and customers just came to you, hearing about you by some miraculous means, and letting you just get on with what you most love to do, which is delivering your service or product? I come across people like that all the time, and I used to be like that too.

But what if ‘networking’ was actually fun, something where you could enjoy yourself, eat some good food and meet interesting people, people who are just as passionate about their business as you are about yours? What if it was like a party of your good [read more]

The Power of Words and Appreciation

Someone posted this on my Facebook page, and it reminded me of an exercise I also had done many years ago, so I thought I’d share it with you…

Too Busy for a Friend?

One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.

Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.

It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers.

That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each [read more]

Having written earlier about the benefits of not planning, and just showing up at the beginning of your day, and asking for help as to how to move forward, it is easy to get overwhelmed with fear. To my shame I was driving a school bus to make ends meet and living with friends. I had lost my apartment. I had been through five interviews with a company and one day between bus runs they called to say I did not get the job. I went to the bus barn a zombie of disappointment.

Later that afternoon, while doing my rounds through a [read more]

Meditation table

also posted in Jane's Blog, Uncategorised

I took this photo (click on ‘more’ below to see it) of where I am currently meditating because it looked so lovely! Flowers from my friend Claire’s garden, beautiful, wild sweet peas.

A multi-coloured healing candle, infused with scented oils, and created specially for healing; another gift from a friend, and symbolic of the healing that is happening for us both right now.

And my laughing Buddha, who reminds me to take life lightly, laugh a lot and enjoy as much as I can!

They are all sitting on a hand-carved teak side table given to me by my parents.

I haven’t always had a meditation table like this; but right now it has pride of place in our sitting [read more]
