How Does Integrity Show Up in Your Business?

One of the values of a conscious, or spiritual, business, is integrity, and it is probably one of your own personal values as well. But what does it really mean, what does it look like in business terms, and how do you use it in your own business?

The word integrity comes from the Latin adjective ‘integer’, meaning whole or complete, and is described in Wikipedia as ‘the inner sense of wholeness deriving from qualities such as honesty and consistency of character’. I’m sure you know this ‘inner sense of wholeness’ – it’s what you feel when things are going well; when you’re feeling connected with a bigger purpose in your life; and when you are looking [read more]

I was listening to a wonderful teleseminar tonight on the above subject by my ex-client Julie Anne Hart of www.pathwaysforpractitioners.co.uk. (She is doing what sounds like a great one day workshop in the heart of the Peak District, you can find out about it here).

This is what I was doodling while listening: I love to occupy my hands when I’m listening to a teleseminar, watching TV (when on earth did I last do that??) or listening to music, and I just really liked this doodle and thought I’d share it with you!

Too Busy for a Friend?

One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.

Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.

It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers.

That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each [read more]

Releasing the Old..

Having written earlier about the benefits of not planning, and just showing up at the beginning of your day, and asking for help as to how to move forward, it is easy to get overwhelmed with fear. When you don’t have a structure within which everything gets held, like a plan, it IS scary! But when you experiment with not planning, you will find yourself sitting still and waiting for inspired action to emerge, rather than planned action; it can include possibilities like pottering about in the garden in the middle of the day; and then space and time is also available for other things to emerge too.

One of the challenges of this though, is that you [read more]
