7 Essential Tips for Letting Go of Resistance

Making a coffee, looking for something to eat when I’m not hungry, answering emails, putting the washing on, feeling irritable, dithering, being compelled to collect my lenses from the opticians down the road – what do all these things have in common?

They’re all forms of resistance, and resisting is what I have just been doing. Yes, resisting writing this article! But I became inspired to sit down and write when I realised I was practicing the very thing I wanted to write about! And that acknowledgment of what was really going on, allowed the resistance to transform into action.

This is one of the tricks about resisting. So long as you are stuck in the pattern of thought, feeling [read more]

I’m preparing for this free teleclass on Monday evening, and I feel really excited about it! All that I will talk about on the call I have been practicing in relation to this call, so maybe that’s why I feel so good about it, my thoughts, feelings and actions are all lined up together. And those really are the conditions for magic and miracles to happen!

If you’re curious, visit here to find out more. There’s still time to register, and because it’s holiday time, I’m repeating the call on Wednesday 25th August at 12 noon, so you can get a repeat of it if you wish, or simply attend that one.

Why am I doing these calls? Because [read more]

Those who have not found their true wealth, which is the radiant joy of Being and the deep, unshakable peace that comes with it, are beggars, even it they have great material wealth” E. Tolle ‘The Power of Now’.

I’m re-reading this book and delighting in it yet again. You know how the words that some people write seem to just jump off the page straight into your heart? That’s what’s happened for me with this book. I recognise many of the ideas he writes about, and they in themselves provide food for my soul. If you haven’t read it yet, I recommend it! [read more]

It was a great talk last night, here in Inverness! 24 women, from the Women@Work organisation, all keen to investigate this subject further.

I had a brilliant money exercise to do that brought out all sorts of ideas that people had about money, particularly when faced with being able to ‘give’ themselves an unlimited supply of millions. I really appreciated the women who were brave enough to share in the group too, as money is definitely one of the topics that we in our society don’t like to talk about. (Sex being the other!)

The result of this talk is that I’m setting up a series of 3 day long workshops locally, so if you want to make sure you [read more]

RichThinking in a Recession

I’m getting ready for a talk I’m giving tonight in Inverness, entitled ‘RichThinking: How to Manage in a Recession using your Thoughts, Feelings and Actions’.

This is a general talk for anyone — not just self-employed people and small business owners, and I’m looking forward to it!

I’m also planning a follow-up of 3 separate days in my home town of Forres on the same theme — if people want it. It would be lovely to do face-to-face groups again, so if this pilot works up here, I’ll hopefully bring it further south, like Edinburgh, York and London.

If this title interests you, post below and say where you would like a day or 2-day group on this theme, and [read more]
