Jane’s Blog

Here I let you into the workings of my mind as I go about my days, and how the spirit of rich thinking occurs in my life, and can therefore occur in yours too. All comments very welcome, as I learn and grow from everyone!

Reaching out for help

There is nothing like having more than one project on the go — usually I would say to people to limit these to maximum of two, but sometimes life takes over and you just have to go with it.

As well as organising my How to Increase Your Prices teleseminar, and course of same name, today I am travelling to Aberdeen (2 hours away) with Philip for his next meeting regarding his mistletoe treatment. He is still recovering from the last chemo, which has taken its toll in a big way, meaning I have been organising all the domestic side of things in our house too. That’s 2 very big indeed ‘projects’.

Last night, I gave way, in floods of [read more]

Putting Prices Up in a Downbeat Economy

also posted in Articles, Jane's Blog

Putting up price is not a function of whether there is a strong or weak economy. There is still plenty of money around, especially if you choose to believe there is. Maybe some people are being more conservative in their spending; maybe some have had to cut back on some things that previously were considered essential. Maybe minds have had to be focused on what really is important.

When it comes to pricing, and considering raising your prices, be sure it is nothing to do with what the state of the world is. If you are providing a service or a product that people want, then you still will have a business. If you believe your product or service [read more]

I’m having great fun preparing the content for my free call next Monday 6th June. The joys of my laptop allow me to sit in our sunroom, pretending I am in sunnier climes, when it is a cool wind outside; and when I want a moment of inspiration, I can step out into the garden and let myself be refreshed by the soil and the plants.

The call is all about pricing and money — something that for spiritual business owners and conscious entrepreneurs can be a bit of a nightmare! If you’ve ever wondered about what to charge your clients, how to set your prices, or felt nervous about whether you are under– or over-charging, then get on this [read more]

The Findhorn Foundation says Yes!

Good news! The Findhorn Foundation has accepted my proposal for a workshop in 2012, their fiftieth birthday year!

The Foundation is a spiritual community, eco-village and educational establishment that is based in Findhorn (4 miles down the road from me) and Forres, where I live. If you’ve never heard of it, do visit their site and check out the biographies of the founders, one of whom still lives there. They are some of the most fascinating stories I’ve ever read.

Anyway — the workshop is entitled Bringing Spirituality into Business for Peace, Pleasure and Plenty, and I will have a page up on this as soon as the dates are set. I’m really looking forward to it!

How Your Money Comfort Level Predetermines Your Income

also posted in Articles, Jane's Blog

Most people have a Money Comfort Level – the level of money which they are comfortable having, no matter where it comes from. This is usually an unconscious amount, and you would be surprised at how much it determines what happens in your life financially! The challenge is discovering what it is, and then taking steps to increase that if you want to bring more money into your life.

To illustrate this, imagine you are driving a car on a long straight stretch of road, and you switch on the cruise control so you can take your foot off the accelerator. Now when you set cruise control on a car, what you are doing is asking your speedometer to [read more]
