Law of Attraction, RichThinking & bookcases

‘Katy look! There’s a bookcase!’

Now why should that be so exciting? It was only a small bookcase, solid wood, sitting on the pavement outside the local secondhand shop. I was walking by, taking my friend’s daughter to the park, and had only decided to go that particular way on a whim.

It’s exciting because I’d been wanting a bookcase for a while. I live in a very small town, quite far away from any place that I would think of to look for a bookcase, especially as I’m fussy about these things. But I did want one. I’d spoken to Philip about it. I knew exactly where it was going to go in the house, and I knew what books I was going (more...)

Wow.

I woke up at 3.30am this morning, refreshed as if a rain shower had passed over me, and left my leaves and branches glistening with droplets of water.

I knew quite clearly what my business was about. It’s this:

I offer a business coaching service to therapists, counsellors and coaches. My USP is that I focus on the mindset necessary for success, as well as the practical work needed. Yes!

Wow.

I have been struggling with this for weeks now — knowing I wasn’t sure exactly what my market was, and how I wanted to communicate to those people out there. And aware that at the same time I was failing those people who were already interested. So now I am going to amend all my literature (more...)

RichThinking in Action

The other day, Claire in my Mastermind group spoke of a deadline she had to meet. She then gave a really inspiring example of Rich Thinking in action.

She heard herself say the word ‘deadline’, and immediately changed it to ‘aliveline’! I loved it! I asked her permission to share it with you, which she generously agreed to. She runs an EFT business (www.eft4change.co.uk) and is incredibly inspiring in what she does.

So I encourage everyone of you to start using the word ‘aliveline’ instead of deadline. Or perhaps you have some other suggestions?

Hope you meet your alivelines today!

I’m sitting in the window of our lovely beach cottage in the south west of Scotland. It’s a balmy evening, warm winds and a lovely sunset happening right now. I’ve won the game! This is unusual, in fact it has happened only perhaps 3 times in the last 17 years of playing Scrabble.

‘Scottish Scrabble’ is what we play; only ever played when at this cottage, and with the help of a Scottish dictionary. Before I tell you about the role Rich Thinking has to play in all this, you need though to know about our rules. They are a bit unusual…

1. We play against our own highest score (this is because I rarely win against Philip as we have such different playing (more...)

Are you a Rich Thinker or a Poor Thinker?

What is Rich Thinking? Rich Thinking is a state of mind. It’s when your bank account is very low, but you still are grateful for what you do have, and find pleasure in your life anyway. It’s when you look into the eyes of a trusting child and give thanks they are in your life, even though half an hour before they were driving you round the bend. It’s when you’re walking through the woods and you notice the particular shape of the branches of a tree, and appreciate it’s beauty. And it’s when you let down your guard with your partner, trusting that in your vulnerability there is a strength that will bring you through difficult times.

Rich Thinking is actively choosing to see riches (more...)
