Rich Thoughts about trying!

Sitting at the breakfast table this morning, I realised I was ‘trying to get on top of everything’ that has to be done business-wise.

Then I thought

‘What about if there is no everything to get on top of?’

And of course there isn’t. It’s just my perception. Immediately, by changing this thought I am freed from the pressure that comes with the first sentence. Aaaah! Lovely!

Of course, it doesn’t mean I just sit back and take it easy. (Although I could, and then there would be consequences of that). No, it means that I get to revisit what I want to achieve, prioritise it, and then commit to taking action on the priorities.

So I wonder — do you have an ‘everything’ in your life that you ‘try (more...)

“The biggest thing is, nothing is impossible. With so many people saying it (eight golds) couldn’t be done, all it takes is an imagination. That’s something I learned, something that helped me”.

quote from Michael Phelps, the American swimmer, who’s won eight Gold Medals in the Olympics.

Yes! Yes! Yes! That’s Rich Thinking! That’s knowing what your dream is and going for it, no matter what anyone else says! That’s doing what it takes to get there! I LOVE seeing people achieve their dreams!

WE JUST DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS POSSIBLE UNLESS WE GO FOR WHAT IS APPARENTLY IMPOSSIBLE

without allowing our doubts, fears and worries to get in the way. I don’t suppose for one minute that Michael Phelps has never had doubts and worries; but (more...)

10 Simple Ways to Start Thinking Rich

I just came up with this list the other day, they all spilt out of my head like a can of beans being turned upside down.

1. Always say ‘How can I afford it?’ instead of ‘I can’t…’

2. Decide to always see the glass half full

3. Decide what is enough for you and affirm you always have it

4. Buy yourself one item that is of quality rather than 3 of a cheaper quality

5. Tell yourself ‘I love you and you’re worth it’ every day in the mirror

6. Be grateful for what you already have in your life

7. Decide to say Yes to something you’d usually say No to

8. Create a Virtuous Circle – keep thinking success thoughts about yourself

9. Stop blaming someone or something else for what’s happening in your life

10. (more...)

Law of Attraction, RichThinking & bookcases

‘Katy look! There’s a bookcase!’

Now why should that be so exciting? It was only a small bookcase, solid wood, sitting on the pavement outside the local secondhand shop. I was walking by, taking my friend’s daughter to the park, and had only decided to go that particular way on a whim.

It’s exciting because I’d been wanting a bookcase for a while. I live in a very small town, quite far away from any place that I would think of to look for a bookcase, especially as I’m fussy about these things. But I did want one. I’d spoken to Philip about it. I knew exactly where it was going to go in the house, and I knew what books I was going (more...)

Wow.

I woke up at 3.30am this morning, refreshed as if a rain shower had passed over me, and left my leaves and branches glistening with droplets of water.

I knew quite clearly what my business was about. It’s this:

I offer a business coaching service to therapists, counsellors and coaches. My USP is that I focus on the mindset necessary for success, as well as the practical work needed. Yes!

Wow.

I have been struggling with this for weeks now — knowing I wasn’t sure exactly what my market was, and how I wanted to communicate to those people out there. And aware that at the same time I was failing those people who were already interested. So now I am going to amend all my literature (more...)
