Limiting yourself — where do you do it?

also posted in Jane's Blog

I have been limiting myself! Hugely! How? By not properly connecting with the work I was doing before as a trainer of Louise L. Hay’s wonderful material. Why was I limiting myself? Because I hadn’t got in touch with the true value of what I have done in the past.

If you don’t know (and why would you, I haven’t really told anyone!) I trained personally with Louise on her last ever training course in 1990, and returned from California to lead successful study groups around the UK and Europe for about 7 years. She has been instrumental in my life, and I had “forgotten”! Wow! Isn’t it amazing what we do to ourselves!

Anyway, she is back now in [read more]

Practicing Rich Thoughts

I recently started to study the Course in Miracles, with a lesson every day. So far, so good. But the last few days have been a challenge, since I’ve been visiting my sister and her family, where the focus is not at all on anything spiritual — more on how to get my 4 year old nephew to go to bed without a fuss.

But one thing that has really worked for me is remembering the lesson during the day, and not only doing that, but using it as a way to remember my latest Rich Thought, which is:

Coaching Circles

Wow! I’ve just started two experimental coaching circles, and I’m loving it!

I’d forgotten how good it is to work with groups of people, and once I’d learnt the etiquette of managing groups on the phone, it works fine! At least I think so -

I’ll be asking the participants for feedback towards the end of our course (4 weeks). I do love being able to respond to people’s individual situations within the context of a topic. We started off with the importance of finding a niche for your self, and this week moved on to pricing of products and services. And all the time, sitting there in the background (of course!) is the question of attitudes and beliefs, and [read more]

How to make lots of money fast?

You know, there are loads of sites out there promising to make you more money in a short period of time. You know the thing — they have headlines like:

“How to Make £100,000 in the next 6 months”

or

“Transform your business into a 6-figure powerhouse with my new method”

I’ve investigated a lot of these sites; some I’ve signed up for, others not. I have learnt a huge amount in the process, (one idea I got formed the basis of my study manual, How To Be A RichThinker: essential inner tools of success) and I don’t doubt that the people serving these sites are genuine. And that there are probably some others out there (as in the testimonials) [read more]

There’s no such thing as failure, only…

I was reading Peter Jones’ book ‘Tycoon” recently, and although I’m not at all sure I want to be a tycoon, lots of it is very useful. Here’s one sentence that I really agreed with:

“I really believe that there are no failures in this world, only events that give you feedback”.

This is definitely rich thinking — and he’s right. I’ve just had what might be called a failure — lost someone’s telephone number who was supposed to be having a session with me right now. Well, how do I react to that? Beat myself up, criticise myself for not being perfect, or more organised? Yes, I admit, I have a tendency towards that kind of thinking. But I [read more]
