This week’s article is a true story told me by a friend when he heard about the fun you can have with a £50 note (see last week’s article).

Recently I was spending time with my parents at their home in France. One night my Mum said,
‘Let’s go to the restaurant tonight; I’ve got just two stamps to put on my card, and as there’s three of us, we’ll get one of the meals free!’ she sounded really delighted and pleased with herself.
