Dear Philip

posted in Jane's Blog

I am posting here for Jane, to pass on the sad news that Philip, Jane’s beloved husband, and dear friend to so many, passed away on Thursday evening, December 1st. Jane has written about it with such eloquence, love & grace, in Philip’s blog http://www.philiprogers.co.uk/. There will be a celebration of Philip’s life at the end of this week (details in his blog).
He is and will be dearly missed.
Blessings on both Jane & Philip in this time of transition for them both.

With much love,

What Are You Accepting or Not Accepting in Your Business?

posted in Articles, Jane's Blog

It seems that accepting you are dying, or that a loved one is dying, must be by far the most challenging thing to accept in life, and I’d agree. But this doesn’t mean that accepting ‘what is’ is much easier in any other situation. That’s because, although it appears to be the circumstances that are the difficult things to accept, it is in fact how much we push away what is presented to us in each moment, that really causes the problem. The situation itself simply is – it just exists. Whether you like it or not is another matter, and that’s where the judgment comes in, and trouble begins.

One of the difficulties with acceptance is that [read more]

Important Update from Jane

posted in Jane's Blog

If you are new to this blog or my newsletter, you will not know that my husband has just recently died from stomach cancer, after a challenging 14 months of learning to live and love with this disease, and a final 6 weeks in hospital.

The reason I am writing about this is that it has affected RichThinkers, not surprisingly. I am currently writing the weekly newsletter, but only seeing one to one clients; not offering any teleclasses or other programmes or workshops.

Philip was an incredible man who met his illness with respect, humility and grace. Plus meeting fear, anxiety and considerable physical pain. I have been amazed at his open-heartedness, and the amount of love we have felt [read more]

Daoist Wisdom

posted in Inspirational Quotes

Do you think you can take over the universe and improve it?

I do not believe it can be done.

The universe is sacred.

You cannot improve it.

If you try to change it, you will ruin it.

If you try to hold it, you will lose it.

So sometimes things are ahead and sometimes they are behind;

Sometimes breathing is hard, and sometimes it comes easily;

Sometimes there is strength and sometimes weakness;

Sometimes one is up and sometimes down.

Therefore the sage avoids extremes,

excesses, and complacency.

Happiness cannot be found through
Great effort and willpower
But is already there, in relaxation
and letting go.

Don’t strain yourself
There is nothing to do
Whatever arises in your mind
Has no importance at all
Because it has no reality whatsoever
Don’t become attached to it
Don’t pass judgement.

Let the game happen on its own,
Springing up and falling back
– Without changing anything.
And all will vanish and reappear
Without end.

Only our searching for happiness
prevents us from seeing it.
It’s like a rainbow that you run
after without ever catching it.
Although it does not exist
It has always been there
And accompanies you every instant.

Don’t believe in the reality of good
and bad [read more]
