NOTES

Using feelings you’d rather not have to grow yourselves & the business.

It is NORMAL to have ‘stuff’ come up when you start focusing on what you do actually want. This is the healing process, like stirring up the mud at the bottom of the pond – things rise to the service to be aired, examined, and released. This is healing.

Resistance leads to suffering. And what you resist, persists. That means that if you don’t embrace what you don’t like, it continues making it’s presence felt. Stop pushing against what you don’t like and invite it in instead.

“You have an inner guidance system that lets you know in every moment how you are holding your energy. Resistance (negative emotion) means you are thinking a (more...)

Einstein on questions: what sort of questions do you ask?

The kinds of questions you ask in your business are going to determine the kinds of answers you get. So the first thing to do is to be really clear about the question you’re asking. For instance, if you find yourself thinking ‘why am I not achieving my goal this month?’ you’re likely to get more frustrated as you try to work out the answer. But if you ask ‘What can I do to make sure my goal is achieved this month?’ your focus will be different, and therefore your answers different too.

When I was working as a counsellor and psychotherapist the answer to ‘why’ was always interesting to my clients. They wanted to know ‘why’ they were the way the were. But (more...)

It’s that Business Inspector again!

Yes, I watched the five.tv show The Business Inspector again this week. Even if you don’t like Hilary Devey’s style, she certainly seems to know her stuff. I personally have found some of her tips very useful. And if you’ve missed these hour long programmes, you can watch them again at www.demand.five.tv.

Inside Out Interview Tips: Part 2

posted in Heart of RichThinking, Jane's Blog

Success! Following the tips I sent to a subscriber asking for help re preparing for a job interview, I just received a lovely email this morning saying thank you, because she had got the job! Hurray!

I used those tips to craft an article for a successful business conversation (see below) but if you’d like to see the original regarding interviews, here it is:

7 tips for having a successful interview

1. First decide to take the general attitude that the perfect job for you is out there; it’s just a matter of finding it. This means that any of the jobs you haven’t yet got haven’t been the perfect one, and it’s simply a matter of continuing until you find it, or it finds you.

2. As best you can, imagine (more...)

RT Way Feelings Wk 6: Desire, Asking and your Emotional Guidance Scale

NOTES

A. Desire

Imagine:

a) Driving a car — you want to go somewhere. You put your foot on the accelerator, and take your other foot off the brake. And off you go, and reach your destination.

b) you say you want to go somewhere, but your foot is on the brake. You are activating energy that is keeping you stuck where you are. Even though you say you want to go somewhere, your actions (or thoughts or feelings) are opposing that.

c) You say you want to go somewhere, and you put your foot on the accelerator but keep your other foot on the brake at the same time, Or stop and start, stop and start. You don’t get to your destination.

When you say you want something (more...)
