Frustration!

in Jane's Blog

Yes, frustration! I am pouring my heart out here on my blog because it is one technological thing I CAN do!

Aaaagh! When you’re trying to learn new technology, and hold in your head all sorts of new ways of doing things, it can be really maddening when even an apparently simple thing takes ages!

That’s me acknowledging what’s going on.

Now — what is the good thing about this? There may be many, but one springs to mind immediately, which is the importance of completing a task before going on to the next one. I know it doesn’t always work like this, and sometimes a task can’t be completed without someone else’s input, but the satisfaction and sense of achievement that occurs when you can say ‘Yes, I’ve completed that!’ is just great.

Having got that off my chest, I can go back with renewed energy to my task and taking it step by step, allow myself to be satisfied with the step by step process of learning new technological things.

Just shows the importance of stopping instead of struggling, of acknowledging what’s happening instead of trying to fight on regardless of feelings, and of looking for the good instead of only being able to see the difficulties.
