This survival kit is a list of soothing options to turn to when you wake in the middle of the night worrying. I’ve been in this place often, so I’m well-qualified to write about this! This is my personal kit of things that work for me; I’ve divided it into two sections, the first when for whatever reason you just want to distract yourself enough to go back to sleep, and the second for when you are conscious enough and wanting to address the fear.

I’ve just come off the line from being interviewed by Paul Harvey of www.market-that.co.uk on the subject of How to Manage in Troubled Times — it was great! I really enjoyed myself, and rather than having to go out in the cold dark snowy night, I was able to be on the call, with several others listening in, from the comfort of my own armchair, all warm and cosy.
That’s really a huge advantage of courses that take place over the phone or via your computer. They’ll never replace face to face groups of course, but when it’s wet and cold outside there’s no doubt what kind of group I’d rather be doing!
