Abundance in nature

posted in Jane's Blog

I was walking through the Botanic Gardens in Belfast, turning a corner in the herbaceous border, and suddenly there before me was a spectacular rhododendron bush!

Honestly, it was so amazingly abundant that I was drawn to go closer to it, just as if I were a bee and could sense it’s scent! Often with rhododendrons the bushes are lush, but you can see lots of green leaves too. This one was incredible — so many luscious white blosssoms, falling over themselves to be seen, heavenly!

I thought ‘This is true abundance; I’m drawn to it simply because it’s so beautiful.’ That’s how the law of attraction works — when you see something or someone being abundant, and expressing the energy of that from a genuine place, then you can’t help (more...)

Enjoying a marketing conference

posted in Business Basics, Jane's Blog

I’m currently in Belfast attending a marketing seminar of Bernadette Doyle, entitled ‘More Leads, More Clients, More Sales’. She had put out a survey to her list wanting to know what people wanted more of, and this seminar is the result.

My parents live in Belfast so that was another reason to want to be here. Everything starts tomorrow and so I’m getting ready right now, to be inspired, fulfilled and meet lots of new and interesting contacts. I’ve been working on my ‘elevator speech’, ready for it to pop out of my mouth when someone asks me ‘what do you do?’.

An elevator speech is a few sentences that you would say to someone in an elevator when you only have a few moments to (more...)

RichThinking Times Issue 6: April 2009

As I sit here at my desk, I can see in front of me a wonderful quote. It comes from a pack entitled Universal Messages, used in the Dining Room of Cluny Hill College in the Findhorn Foundation, where I volunteer every Friday. We always close the week with a little meditation and choosing a card to help us on our way. I liked this so much that I copied it out to pin up, and here it is for you:

“My difficulties, disappointments or apparent defeat are only signs indicating that my success is near. I use them to move forward and develop all my qualities. My final success will be even greater than I imagined.”

May your April be (more...)

The Art of Possibility

posted in Resources

Wow! I’ve just been watching an amazing video clip of a guy who speaks passionately about the world of the downward spiral vs the world of possibility. You may have heard of him – conductor Benjamin Zander. On this video there are several gems such as

a) what to do when you make a mistake (and it’s not saying ‘Oh how stupid!’)

b) how sitting on one buttock can transform your life

c) a demonstration with a young cello player of allowing Spirit into what you do

It’s a remarkable form of coaching by a remarkable man; check it out at this link:

How to Simplify Your Life

posted in Resources

Yesterday on one of my Coaching Circle calls we were talking about flow, and the importance of it in practical terms, ie systems. All successful businesses, large or small, have efficient systems to manage what happens. Even individuals in their home lives have systems (or not!) to manage their household.

A smooth running system can make all the difference to the ease you experience within life. One of the participants recommended a book:

Seven Practical Steps to Letting Go of Your Burdens and Living a Happier Life
