RichThinking – like an umbrella, it only works when the mind is open.
By it’s very definition, Rich Thinking implies an open mind. You can’t be thinking rich with a closed mind; that’s doing poor thinking. So how do you open the umbrella and begin to think rich?
The first step is to notice what you’re already thinking. It can be about any topic, but let’s take money to start with. Let’s say you’re always saying you can’t afford something. That’s like insisting on keeping the umbrella closed. There’s no way you’ll be able to afford what you want if you keep saying you can’t. It just doesn’t work like that, because when the mind is closed, there’s no opportunity to have it be any other way. That’s why people often surround themselves with other people who think similarly – it helps them keep their minds closed if those around are doing the same.
So firstly, you have to notice what you ARE doing. Secondly, having noticed you keep saying it, you have to make a decision as to whether or not you want to change. Assuming you do, you need to find a way, not of affording the item (that may come later), but of programming your mind with a different and opposite thought; in this case, it could be ‘I can afford it’. OK, OK, I know this is controversial – if you can’t afford it, you can’t afford it; just because you say you can doesn’t mean you actually can. Of course. But before you shriek and walk away from the computer in disgust, let me point out that I’m not trying to do anything here other than have you open your umbrella up, ie have you open your mind to the huge amount of possibilities available when the mind is open. And who knows what possibilities might be out there?
If you’re still reading, you’re already being a Rich Thinker by the way! Once you’ve got your new thought in place, then you can use this to help you come up with all the other beliefs you have that are underneath this one on the surface. For a fuller explanation of this, read my article Step by Step Rich Thoughts. Suffice to say, that when you keep that umbrella fully open, the mind begins to question the status quo. So you might find yourself asking that most powerful of questions ‘HOW can I afford this item?’ Then you really are in a place of Rich Thinking because you’re in a place of creativity. And it’s your creative thinking that will bring you some of the most unlikely solutions you could ever imagine.
Although I use money as an example here, Rich Thinking can be applied everywhere. In fact, my definition of a Rich Thinker is someone who in every area of their life endeavours to think rich more often than not – not all the time — because having to be perfect is definitely not an example of rich thinking! Just more often than not, so that you can bring possibility and therefore magic into your life on a daily level.
