Listening to RichThoughts audios

Why listen to RichThoughts? For some people there is an instant resistance. Their mind comes up with an apparently good reason for not doing it and they dismiss the possibility. I have heard many different ways of expressing this, but a large part of it can be boiled down to, “The world has negativity in it and positive thinking ignores this and is therefore unrealistic”.

I partially agree with this statement. I, too, have seen people using positive thinking in unrealistic ways and sometimes using it to bury their heads in the sand. Yes, people ignore reality in all kinds of ways (it is called denial). However, dismissing positive thinking for this reason is to misunderstand it. It is a powerful psychological tool that has not been taught well. Too many teachers have skimmed over the surface of the subject and ignored the deeper reality, which is that you can use positive thinking to understand your unconscious and subconscious negative thinking.

RichThoughts are powerful tools to help you change habitual thought and feeling patterns. These habits are developed over many years of experience and do not usually change overnight. Listening to these audios can support you in making the changes that you want to make.

These audios work on several levels.

First, there is simple listening. You can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of RichThinking. You can relax and play the audio and sink into it just as you might listen to a favourite piece of music. It is good to do this regularly and often.

Second, background listening. Play the audio while in the car, or when cooking, or other simple tasks. Let the RichThoughts accompany you. Give yourself a positive listening experience often, instead of the news.

Third, notice the statements that you react to. This is where positive thinking becomes truly powerful. If you pay attention to your reactions you can start to understand the reasons why the changes you want to make consciously are resisted subconsciously. Your subconscious mind needs to be convinced. Simple repetition might work eventually but it will take a long, long time and many people give up because they don’t get results soon enough. You can deepen this process of change, and shorten it, by bringing the thoughts that contradict the RichThoughts into your conscious mind. When these negations are made conscious they can changed more effectively. It works best to welcome these old thoughts, to thank them for emerging, and to look and see if they are still serving you in the present. Mostly, these old ideas can be let go, so the best way is to adopt the attitude of thanking them for their efforts in protecting you and release them. You may need to repeat this over and over.
