Monday morning heaven

in Heart of RichThinking

This morning, Monday, the sun is shining, blue skies, warm air. After a week of greyness and drizzle, I was impelled to go out for a walk at 9.30am. This is normally the time I sit at my desk and write, or work or another kind. So going for a walk was at this time was a very different thing to do.

I knew, though, from past experience, that feeling this strongly about something meant I needed to do it, for I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on anything else until I had been outside. Usually I have been out and about very early, before breakfast, but not this morning. So I paid attention to my inner promptings, and have just spent the last hour in the heaven we call nature.

And I was inspired to blog about it, right here and now — because much clarity came to my mind during this time. So that is my message to you — LISTEN to those inner promptings in whatever form they come, and if at all possible, ACT on them, then and there. You don’t know what gifts are awaiting you.

Some years ago, I wouldn’t have done this. I would have said ‘I need to get my work done first, and then I’ll reward myself with a walk in the woods’. But, for me at least, that doesn’t work. Although it tends to be the premise on which our whole society is based, I encourage you to do the opposite. And watch as you come to your work with a radiance that would have been hidden before.

I’ve written an article about this entitled ‘Radiance Requires Retreat’ ( http://www.richthinkers.co.uk/articlesbyjane.html) and that is what I gave myself this morning; a mini-retreat. I uncovered radiance and am back in alignment with all that is important. Just think of the effect on my work! Just think of the effect it can have on your work! How can you bring radiance into your work today?
