Memo from God

posted in Inspirational Quotes

Today I received this, so I wanted to pass it on.

To: YOU

Date: TODAY
From: GOD
Subject: YOURSELF
Reference: LIFE

This is God. Today I will be handling All of your problems for you. I do Not need your help. So, have a nice day. I love you. And, remember… If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do Not attempt to resolve it yourself! Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now. Should you decide to send this (more...)

Law of Attraction: simple but not necessarily easy

posted in Heart of RichThinking, Jane's Blog

Here’s how the Law of Attraction works in daily life. I start with the story…

I wanted to turn our little piece of concrete yard outside our house into a beautiful sitting area, and with lots of pots. I knew the kind I wanted, half barrels from the whiskey distilleries near here. So off I go to the local Wastebusters to see what they have, and sure enough, they are making exactly what I want, but at £30. I wanted 3 barrels and I didn’t want to pay that much.

But as I was there, I bumped into a friend who said she was going somewhere else to get them cheaper; I asked her to get me some. A few days later, I’ve picked up 3 enormous (more...)

Fear: how to survive middle of the night worries

posted in Heart of RichThinking, Jane's Blog

Thump, thump, thump! Panic stations. Sometimes you find yourself sitting bolt upright in bed. You just know it’s those wee small hours again, a time when you never feel so alone. Or maybe you find yourself awakening slowly, finding the fear overtaking you, despite your best efforts. How do you cope when this happens?

I’ve been in this place often, so I’m well-qualified to put together a survival kit! This is my list of things that work for me. I’ve divided it into two sections, when you are conscious enough and wanting to address the fear; the second when for whatever reason you just want to distract yourself enough to go back to sleep.

This kit is a list of soothing options to turn to when you wake in the (more...)

How to get tenants into your rental property fast

posted in Articles, Business Basics

Landlords know that the worst thing that can happen with their rental is that it’s void for any length of time. But what do you do when you’ve repaired, redecorated, refurbished, done all the right things, and it STILL isn’t letting? You have one final trick up your sleeve.

This happened to me just recently with one of my properties. I was living many miles away, and couldn’t just pop over to see for myself why it might not be renting.

The previous tenant had done a bunk, and although I’d done all the right things, and put it with different agents, placed ads myself, nothing was happening. A few viewings but no takers. I really couldn’t understand this, and with a lot of money going out each (more...)

5 steps to get tenants into your property when the usual methods haven’t worked

posted in Articles, Business Basics

A landlord’s nightmare — one of my properties had been empty for months. The previous tenant had done a bunk, and although I’d done all the right things, refurbished, and redecorated inside and out in neutral colours, put it with different agents, placed ads myself, nothing was happening. A few viewings but no takers. I really couldn’t understand this, and with £300 going out each month on the mortgage, this was just not OK.

Finally, I was prompted into taking inner action by a close friend, who said ‘You have to love that house Jane! At the moment, you’re hating it, resenting it, and wishing you hadn’t bought it. That won’t work.’

She was right, and I just hadn’t realised it. That day I created a picture of the (more...)
