Walking through the woods the other day, I saw a carpet of snowdrops and crocuses, so beautiful! Their tender little stems and flowers reminded me of Alive Stories, which are one of the ways to create your dream coming true. Just like the little shoots poking their heads into the world, they are the beginnings of a much bigger thing. Read more about them below.

I’ve also been focusing a lot on the next part of the study manual How To Be A RichThinker, which is all about the outer tools of success. It’s the combination of both that make the winning formula. So watch this space if you want to maximise the success of your business!

Warm regards

1. Limiting yourself — where do you do it?

I have been limiting myself! Hugely! How? By not properly connecting with the work I was doing before as a trainer of Louise L. Hay’s wonderful material. Why was I limiting myself? Because I hadn’t got in touch with the true value of what I have done in the past.

If you don’t know (and why would you, I haven’t really told anyone!) I trained personally with Louise on her last ever training course in 1990, and returned to lead successful healing circles and study groups around the UK and Europe for about 7 years. She has been instrumental in my life, and I had “forgotten”! Wow! Isn’t it amazing what we do to ourselves!

Anyway, she is back now in my life in a big way for various reasons, and the first thing I’m doing to acknowledge this is to change my name to JANE DUNCAN ROGERS. I used to practice under my maiden name Jane Duncan – and it feels very fitting to now bring the two parts of my life together in this way. So all information and emails will now be from Jane Duncan Rogers.

So, as I like to pass on whatever I’m learning: where could you be inadvertently limiting yourself? What have you undervalued, or are you undervaluing, that could be hampering your success? How could you make amends for that?

2. What’s Your Alive Story?

If you haven’t read How To Be A RichThinker: essential inner tools of success, waht’s you won’t know about Alive Stories and how fantastic they are as a way to help you connect and inspire yourself about your dreams and goals.

An alive story is simply that – a story that you create that describes your life right now, as if your dream was happening.

Abraham, from the Esther and Jerry Hicks books, talks about the same thing, but calls them scripts. He says:

“You do not script to get the thing you are scripting. You script because you want to feel good. And in order to feel good, you write about something you desire”.

This is taking Alive Stories to a different level – not only do you create an Alive Story for your main goal, but you can also create one for anything you want, at any time of day.

So what does an Alive Story look like? Here’s an example:

I approach the front door of the house I have just bought, feeling really excited! The sale has finally gone through, I’ve got the keys and I’m going into it for the first time as the new owner. As I enter in, I notice how quiet it is compared to where I’ve been living. There’s a smell of roses, and I see in the kitchen that the previous owners have left a lovely bunch of them. Gorgeous! I feel the banisters on the stairs, smooth polished wood under my fingers, one of the things that appealed to me when I first saw this house. I go into the sitting room and open the French windows, hearing the birds twittering in the garden, and feeling the warmth of the sun on my cheeks. I feel so happy and grateful this has all happened. I have a huge smile on my face, and am deeply contented. At last I have my own house and I can’t wait to move in! Hurray!

Alive Stories are told in the present tense, using all or as many as you can of the senses to make the story come alive, and create in the moment of reading it the feelings that you know you will experience when this event actually happens.

They’re an example of RichThinking, and if you want to know more about how to do these in the context of creating your dream, then go to http://www.richthinkers.co.uk/rt_manualarea.html to buy your copy of the manual.

3. Coaching Circles

The experimental Coaching Circle has become 2 circles, both happening right now, with fantastic results! We are having a lot of fun, learning a lot (that includes me), with everyone making good progress. I feel inspired by the participants on these calls, who have allowed me to test out some theories, and different ways of doing things. Watch out for an email about the new Success Circle happening later this month.
