How to move from where you are to somewhere even better….

Down in the dumps. Tears flowing, negativity overwhelming me, self-pity and fury rising up in me like a torrent of water. AAAAAGH!

That was this morning.

If there’s one thing about feelings you can guarantee, it’s this: they will always change.

So this afternoon, after a few more ups and downs, I’m sitting in our local tea shop (all very old-fashioned, nice and soothing), asking myself this question:

If I took the noose off from around myself, what would my life look like?

Then there were plenty of answers, none of which I felt particularly connected to. Each sentence began with ‘I would…’. Looking back over them, I decided to change the ‘I would…’ to ‘I am…’. Then I noticed [read more]

New Coaching Circle for Success!

posted in Jane's Blog

Yes, I’ve just launched a new coaching Success Circle, beginning on 1st April. I had such good feedback from the people in the pilot project, and I felt so good about doing them, that I’m really pleased to be able to offer this again.

Last night the email went out and already 3 people have registered, hurray! Really it is the advent of conference calling that makes this possible. None of the previous participants had taken part in a conference call before (neither had I until less than a year ago!), but it is so easy, and the technology so good now that a whole new world has opened up.

‘What do I need a coach for? I’ve always managed perfectly well on my own’.

This is a cry I’ve often heard in response to someone suggesting they find a coach. And of course, some people do manage perfectly well on their own. And yet the majority of people tend to struggle on through life, vaguely feeling like they could do better, or thinking that something is missing, or wondering why life is passing them by.

But having some coaching is just getting help. In the old days, you might have got help from your auntie who lived down the road or round the corner. Now, with [read more]

Things getting worse before getting better

Well. I’ve really committed myself to some goals, targets, intentions, whatever you want to call them this month, in all kinds of areas, not just business. Plus I’ve been focusing on the art of Deliberate Creation, as defined by Abraham-Hicks (they of Ask and It is Given fame).

What has happened? Things are falling apart all over the place! My computer has gone bust (had to order a new one); my second computer is not running smoothly; our phone line went down for two days last week; people are not replying to my emails and I’m ill again! Aaaagh!

I’m reassuring myself that all this is happening because it’s getting worse before it gets better. For sure, all these things [read more]

Mastermind Magic: using the power of the third mind

Sitting in my friend’s room, overlooking Findhorn Bay, were 6 people. Apparently nothing was happening, as everyone had their eyes closed, no-one saying anything. But we were in a circle facing each other, so clearly something was going on.

To an outsider, it might have looked a bit odd. To us, well, it was one of the fortnightly Mastermind meetings that we have. We’d begun as usual in silence, which is about giving ourselves a time of reflection, to gather thoughts, to focus our minds on what the next 2.5 hours would be about.

As the first fifteen minutes drew to a close, our leader for that week asked everyone to state a success from the past fortnight (we’re really [read more]
