Things getting in the way…

I haven’t written a blog for ages and there’s a reason. I’m supposed to be changing over from blogger.com to WordPress, and when I was showed WordPress, it seemed like just too much – yet another system I had to learn and find my way around. Result: no more blogging!

But this is the kind of thing that happens all the time. You get stopped in your tracks by something unexpected and then it’s hard to get going again.

So how do you get going?

By doing what I’m doing here. Telling the truth about what’s really going on; facing up to facts, and then being willing to take the first, sometimes tiny, step in the right direction.

This applies particularly now, when credit is hard to get, and the economy has slowed right down. There’s nothing to be gained from putting your head in the sand and hoping the dust storm will pass you by. RichThinkers are willing to stand up and say, OK here’s where I’m at, or here’s where my business is right now. Then they take a long hard look at the options available, and make a decision about what the next best step is towards their ultimate goal. To do that, you need to always know where you are going, where you are starting from, and be willing to turn in different ways from planned, according to the circumstances you find yourself in at the time.

So now I’ve taken my first step, you can look forward to more on my blog again!
