“If you set up the equipment for me, I’ll do it when we get home” I said.

‘Setting up the equipment means switching it on!” he exclaimed “even
you can do that I think!” and carried on laughing.

Well, I had to laugh too.

“I think my mind goes to sleep when I hear the word ‘equipment’” I said.

This is a bit of block I have, I admit: and an area where I have to work
really hard to think rich, because it’s true, I only have to hear a word
that I consider ‘technological’ and I switch off inside.

The outcome of this conversation? I did plug in and switch on, and it
didn’t work. What did I do? Rummage around trying to understand and
fix it myself? No, ‘fraid not. I called Philip.

I’m so glad he’s my techie!
