How to do What I Did lists…

in Inspirational Quotes, Jane's Blog

I was telling a visiting friend the other day about my ‘What I Did’ list (see earlier post), and how good it felt to write it down and review it. He said:

“People who think through the things they’ve done in the day and say thank you live longer and happier lives, apparently. I’ve always gone through everything I’ve done and been grateful for it, last thing at night, ever since I can remember”.

I said ‘You’ll be on my blog tomorrow!” And so he is. Thank you, Martin! (Professor of Mountain Studies at the University of the Highlands and Islands, and a great advert for looking young, and staying fit and healthy).

I think he’s right of course — so I’m adding being grateful for the things I’ve done at the end of my list. Whether or not it makes you live longer, who knows — but it sure makes you feel good, and it’s a great way to go to sleep!
