Dealing with overwhelm

in Jane's Blog

Eeek!

That’s my usual response to feeling like there’s too much to do. It’s a bit squeaky, that sound, but that’s what it feels like inside me. Then the usual behaviour that follows is a great need to suddenly rush up to the shops, or do something relatively mindless like take my library books back, or potter around finding tidying jobs to do in the house. Sometimes I do just these things, and sometimes it works to free my mind up from panic, so I can see clearly again. it’s a bit hit and miss though.

Anyone identify with me here?

Overwhelm is one of the things that can happen really easily when you’re learning a lot, which is what I’m doing right now. Hard to believe that only six months ago I was a relative technophobe. Now I have my own website, and am learning new things everyday about internet marketing. No wonder I’m going ‘eeek’ sometimes!

Anyway, I’m interested in the different ways of coping with overwhelm. If you’d like to share your ideas, let me know…
