Business coaching and therapists — do they go together?

in Business Basics

OK. So I’m clear now about my niche market.

It’s people I’ve been around all my adult life — therapists, counsellors, coaches and other healing professionals. I’ve been one of this group. I’ve worked with them. And I’ve noticed that the words ‘business’ and ‘therapist’ often aren’t used together. Is this because therapists have an inbred dislike of the word? Is it because they don’t have a business, they have a practice? (And what is the difference between a business and a practice anyway? I’ll be writing an article about that in the near future).

‘Business’ and ‘coaches’ go together. ‘Business’ and ‘healers’ — maybe not. There is something in this marketplace that is not sitting quite right, because of course the most successful therapists, healers, counsellors DO have businesses.

I’m going to have to find out more about this. Watch this space! and my website www.richthinkers.co.uk. I’ll post any articles there.
