Catching your thoughts

in Jane's Blog

Walking past a beautiful Georgian house the other day that had been for sale, I noticed it had scaffolding covering the ivy, clematis and wisteria, all in full flower. Obviously work was going to be done by the new owners. Two days later and I’m horrified to see that all that beautiful wisteria and clematis (I didn’t mind about the ivy!) had been torn down.

Now the interesting thing about this is what I caught myself thinking. I’m even a bit embarassed to state it! It was ‘those people have more money than they know what to do with’. Eeek! That is definitely not an example of rich thinking! BUT — the great thing is I noticed; I may have been horrified as to that thought popping out of nowhere (apparently), but I did choose to change it to ‘I send loving thoughts to the people living in this beautiful house’. And I really meant it. I do not want to be someone who goes around making judgments about people and their houses without knowing anything about them, especially when it is a limitation to my ability to create true wealth in my life.
This is a good example of putting Rich Thinking into practice. It’ll be interesting to see what I next think about renovations to this house!
