Monday morning life changes

“What!” I shouted.

Philip had suggested I took some time out from working, and it was a Monday morning. (All this because I found it very hard to get out of bed yesterday morning).

The thought of having some time doing nothing very much at all on a Monday of all days was indeed a shock. Usually the body lets you know when it’s time to stop, because it gets ill in one way or another. But what about if you could let yourself have some time off, during the week, without being ill?

This is what I was reflecting on, after his suggestion. I decided to experiment, and so yesterday morning saw me still in my dressing gown at 9.30am; even still in my dressing gown at 10am! Having done (more...)

A good question to ask yourself…

I was sorting through the pile of papers that sits to the left hand side of my computer earlier; it’s usually full of interesting things I’m going to look at ‘later’ — which I sometimes do, and sometimes don’t. But occasionally out of this pile pops something I feel inspired to pass on. Here the question:

“What one thing could you do that you’re not doing now in your life, that if you did on a regular basis would make a tremendous positive difference to your life?”

It makes you stop and think, doesn’t it?

Which of course it’s intended to do. My answer today was — have a lying down rest every day of at least 20 minutes. (Yes I know it’s one of my (more...)

7 Everyday RichThinking Actions

posted in Heart of RichThinking

Someone stopped me this morning as I came out of the sanctuary in Cluny Hill College (part of the Findhorn Foundation) and asked me about the document I’d written called the seven actions to take.

Well, I haven’t written a document called that — or even anything like that! But she gave me an idea, so I’m going to write them right now. (thank you, Judith!)

So, here’s 7 RichThinking Daily Actions for high-level RichThinking living!

  1. Begin your day by focusing on what you do want, not what you don’t want. Look forward to the things you have in your schedule and determine that you are going to find the riches in all of these situations. This only takes a few minutes and sets the context for your day.
  2. Sing (more...)

Choices and thoughts

Oh ye’ll take the high road and I’ll take the low road,
An’ I’ll be in Scotland before ye’,
But woe is my heart until we meet again
On the Bonnie, bonnie banks O’ Loch Lomond.

What am I doing, with a wee Scottish verse in this article?

Well, it’s the first line only that’s appropriate really; the whole
song is a traditional Scottish folk song from hundreds of years
ago.

But the first line came into my head the other day, and it
reminded me of choosing between thinking richly (taking
the high road) and thinking poorly (the low road).

Either way you may end up in the destination
you’re going to. But for sure if you take the high road you will.

It’s just a choice — at any given point in your thinking about

RichThinking in Action

posted in Heart of RichThinking, Jane's Blog

I put up a YouTube video clip recently of me talking to camera about my new e-study manual How To Be a RichThinker: essential inner tools of success. (It’s not up, by the way, so you can’t view it!)

Why isn’t it up anymore? Because it wasn’t good enough. I’d hardly even been in front of a camera before, but the most amazing thing was that I hadn’t really prepared for it. Result: I learned a lot, but didn’t achieve what I thought was my aim, to have a clip up on YouTube.

So I set up a time to play around with a friend and his camera, setting my intention to just have fun. Again, though, I hadn’t really prepared for it, in (more...)
